Sometimes it seems as though you have to wait years for summer here in the UK, but this was one of those years, enjoying days of warm sunshine day after day, I think July is my 3rd favourite month. Why 3rd? Well, that’s because December has Christmas and New Years Eve, and my for my 2nd favourite – this year it’s August, I am going on holiday for a well deserved break with the family. So with that in mind I was thinking about the normal things that you do when your planning a get away, we may think about all the practicalities and so on, but lets not forget I’m a man, so I only focus on the REALLY important things like cost of airfare – Internet access and can watch TV?
I have searched high and low for some of these things that I have brought together and it makes me feel good to know that you are getting the same opportunity to enjoy some of the things that I have discovered.
So the first and most natural thing that we tend to do when trying to book a flight is go to our favourite search engine and type something in like – cheap airplane tickets – and then get hit with so much information. I have found a guy that knows exactly how to get the cheap tickets because he used to work for an airline himself. He has now written about it all at his site

But having worked in technical support, I know that there is one thing that always has people scrambling for the phone.
Picture this; you’ve just spent hours on the plane, and hours before that trying to coral the kids whilst being the designated baggage handler. You’re hot and sweaty and only after what feels like an eternity have made it through customs and have negotiated your way to the hotel looking forward to when the actual holiday will actually begin. Exhausted, you maybe, but being the responsible man that I am, I decide to check my emails and send a few important replies from the hotel. Then it hit’s, why can’t I send emails from my hotel room? Outlook, or Outlook express or what ever program you use to send your email which worked perfectly from home is not working. Don’t worry, it’s a common problem. The Internet is working; you haven’t broken your computer. But computer language called SMTP that you use to send emails with, very often isn’t allowed from your computer when your not at home or at work. So you have to go through the rounds, call tech support. Spend 30 minutes on the phone just to send your emails! While they guide you through your settings which will have to be changed (if they work) when you get back home anyway. This is the last thing that you need.

Set it up once and that’s it. You can use it at home, don’t need to change any settings and you can use it where ever you are in the World. They are really great, I can’t recommend them enough. As someone beautifully said on their site “I set it up once and forgot I had it.”

And then there’s the just plain cool factor, where ever I am in the World I like taking a bit of home with me, just enough to keep the kids, the wife or myself entertained, especially when its late and maybe the kids are restless or, the TV only shows (understandably) foreign TV channels. Sometimes you need something to break up the time, but I could well imagine that if I were trying to learn a foreign language, this thing will also be just as useful. Check this out:
